Historic grounds from the air
Football grounds as they were, photographed from the air between the wars and after, then brought back into colour and given a slow camera move. Terracing open to the sky, cinder banks, chimneys and back yards pressed right up against the touchline.
The photographs are real and so is everything in them. The colour and the movement are added to a single still, so these are colourised photographs brought to life rather than archive film. Two of them, Bank Street and Anfield, are reconstructions instead, and say so on their own pages.
