Starting Lineup ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Starting Lineup website at startinglineup.co.uk and the Starting Lineup mobile app (together, the "Service").

What Information We Collect

Starting Lineup is designed to work without collecting personal data.

All lineup data (such as player names, positions, formations, and kit settings) is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers. On the website, this data is stored in your browser’s localStorage. On the mobile app, it is stored using on-device storage. There are no user accounts and no cloud sync.

The mobile app does not collect analytics, tracking data, or advertising identifiers.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider may automatically process minimal technical information (such as server request logs) as part of normal service operation. This information is not used by us to identify users.

Cookies

Starting Lineup does not use tracking cookies.

The website may store essential local data in your browser (such as saved lineups) so the Service can function correctly. We do not use cookies for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking.

Clipboard Access

The mobile app accesses your device’s clipboard only when you explicitly tap the Import button. This is used to read a Starting Lineup share link so it can be loaded into the app.

Clipboard contents are not accessed at any other time and are never sent to our servers.

Image Exports

When you use the Download feature, a PNG image of your lineup is generated entirely on your device. The image is saved or shared using your device’s standard share options. No images are uploaded to or stored on our servers.

Shared Lineups

When you use the Share feature, your lineup data is encoded directly into a URL. Anyone with that URL can view the lineup data it contains.

Shared lineups are not stored on our servers. Please avoid including sensitive or private information when sharing lineup links publicly.

Third-Party Services

The Service is hosted on third-party infrastructure providers who may process minimal technical data as required to operate the service.

Starting Lineup does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Security

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you remain in full control of it. You can remove all saved data at any time by using the Reset feature, clearing your browser’s localStorage, or uninstalling the mobile app.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is generally no personal data for us to access, modify, or delete on your behalf.
