Reconstruction

Bank Street

Bank Street in Clayton, home to Newton Heath from 1893 and to Manchester United from 1902, wedged between a railway line and the Albion Chemical Works. The last game there was on 22 January 1910. The site is a velodrome now. A reconstruction, adapted from a period aerial photograph with the layout kept and the colour and the smoke added. Not an archive photograph.
