Third Man Run

Up, back, through. The starter plays into the striker's feet and sets off the instant he plays it. The striker cannot turn, so he sets it back first time to the supporting player. That player slides it through into the space ahead of the run, and the original passer arrives onto it and finishes first time. The whole thing runs off two queues and everybody moves round one role each go: finish, then join the support line; support, then step in as the striker; striker, then back to the play-in line.

Instructions

  • Pass and run beyond, not pass and stop
  • Striker sets it back first time
  • Weight it ahead of the runner
  • Everyone moves round one role
